We have added parameters to the geocoding web service API's to implement transaction detail non-storing in the SOAP geocoding API, allow reference data set selection, and allow soundex attribute selection. The new version number of the geocoding web service API's is 2.9. For details, see the geocoding web service API page. A new version of the free geocoding desktop client is also available that is compatible with this latest geocoding web service API.

To keep consistency across services, we have also upgraded all other API's to version 2.9 as well including the address standardization and normalization web service APIs and the census intersection web service APIs.

Users should update their web service calls to use these new API versions. Old API versions will continue to work for the present time but will eventually be phased out. Please let us know if you have any questions or need any help.
